How Do I...
Make An Appointment?
We operate an appointments system. Consultations are 10 minutes for doctors and 15 minutes minimum for the nurses. Please note, if you arrive late for your appointment, you may be asked to re-book. Appointments are
available between 9.00am - 12 noon for morning sessions and 4.00 - 6.00pm for evening sessions.
You can expect to see a GP within two working days. If you do not need an appointment within two working days you also have the option to book up to six weeks in advance if this is more convenient to you. Emergencies
will always be seen as soon as possible.
You may see the doctor of your choice but we encourage you to see the same doctor if possible to maintain the continuity of care. However, if the doctor you request is not available it may be necessary to see a
different doctor.
The practice will endeavour to comply if, when making an appointment, a patient expresses a preference of a practitioner and if this is not possible a full explanation will be given. Tell us if you want someone to
accompany you during an examination or a private room to discuss any matter.
Evening surgery is for people who cannot come to morning surgery because of work or school. If possible please come to the morning surgery.
Appointments are valuable. Please let us know in advance if you cannot attend.
How Do I...
Obtain A 'Telephone Consultation'?
You can speak to a doctor or nurse between 12.30 - 1.00pm or 2.00 - 3.30pm during our opening hours.
How Do I...
Obtain A Home Visit?
Please come to the surgery where our facilities are better. Telephone the surgery as early as possible if you need a home visit on medical grounds and let us know if your condition is urgent.
How Do I...
Obtain Test Results?
Results for most tests can be given either in person here at the surgery or over the telephone between 2.00 and 4.00pm. When you undergo any test it is your responsibility to contact us for the
result. HIV and sensitive results are never given over the phone. Results of tests can only be given to the patient.
How Do I...
Change My Details?
Please tell us if
you change any of your personal details, address or telephone number so that we
can update our records.
