Practice Nurse
The nurse is available by appointment for:
- Wound dressings
- Adult and childhood immunisations
- Travel health advice and vaccinations for holidays abroad
- Ear syringing
- Women's health including cervical smears
- Heart disease monitoring
- Blood pressure reading
- Diabetic monitoring
- Respiratory disease monitoring
- General health promotion advice including smoking, diet and exercise

Counsellor
Mary Burke MSc provides a counselling service to patients of the surgery.
In addition, we refer to a ‘guided self-help’ therapist. Please discuss
with your GP for more information.
Community Nurses
The community nurses look after patients requiring nursing at home. These nurses are employed by the Primary Care Trust and are based outside of the surgery.
They can be contacted via reception or direct on (020) 7221 2650.
Health Visitors
There are health visitors who cover the practice. They have special responsibilities to mothers and children under five.

Training
We undertake research, train medical students, health visitors and student nurses. From time to time with your permission we videotape consultations. The tapes are only used for education and are
destroyed afterwards. If you do not wish to be involved please inform reception. Your treatment will not be affected.
